Mercer County presents theater and musical productions throughout the year. See a performance at the new Chuck Mathena Center. This new attraction hosts many theater productions, concerts and events. The Summit Theatre hosts many productions of unique plays as well as Wohlfhart Haus which produces musicals year round.
Let the music carry you away when you visit one of our music or arts venues. Our colleges, as well as our art galleries host artists and performers from around the world. Discover some of West Virginia’s finest country and bluegrass music in Mercer County. Join us for some soulful music at the Riff Raff Arts Collective or Gary Bowling’s House of Art. Bluefield Area Arts Center
Historic, "Old City Hall." The building still contains jail cells and the remnants of the police, fire, and other municipal services. The Paine Gallery was formerly the public library. The lovely old building now houses the Summit Theatre and several counseling service offices.

Located in Princeton, the Center for International Understanding promotes peace initiatives through educational, professional, and business exchanges and through activities that sustain sister city relations between Princeton , West Virginia and Yoshkar Ola , Russia , sister state relations between West Virginia - Komi Republic , Russia , and sister city relations between Bluefield , West Virginia , and Tsalenjikha, Republic of Georgia ; and fosters information exchange between US and international entrepreneurs and private- public and much more.
